Canadian Shield
The Canadian Shield is wrapped around the Hudson Bay in a horseshoe shape. It is characterized by many hills that are worn by erosion and hundreds of lakes carved by glaciers. This region holds some of the oldest rock formations in North America.
This region is mostly in Canada, but a portion rests in the northern United States. Have you ever traveled to Canada?
